[W126 Coupe] Questions about 2003 S500

What do you all think of the 2003 S500? Are they reliable? Thinks to
look out for? Do you think a like new S500 purchased today, with proper
maintenance, would last another 10 years before becoming too expensive
to own? I have a friend who is looking at one. He'll be living in
Colorado (Denver area I think), assuming he uses snow tires will it be
fine in the snow, or should he look for a 4-matic? How is the 4-matic
system? How much of a trade off on performance is it?
