[W126 Coupe] Fuel pmp making noise

Get one thing fixed and something else happens
The fuel pump,under the big gas filter  behind the gas tank is making  a lot 
of noise,but the car still runs. Has anyone else had this problem. The car  is 
a 1985 500 SEC
