[W126 Coupe] AC PROBLEM POSTS

I've been reading the posts and was going to send in my 2-cents when I read the post from KentKihl and want to let you know I had the same problem on 2 different cars 1-560SEL and 2-450SLC and it was the ignition cylinder where the key goes. If the a/c stopped running all you had to do was turn the slightly to the right everything would work again. had key cylinder changed in both cars and no more problems. Just try turning key when problem occurs. Also a couple of weeks ago one of the members said he had a 560SEC and a 300CE so all he needed was a 450SLC and he would have the hole collection of early model coupes. Well I have a very nice 1979 Euro 450SLC we/the 10 to 1 compression and lower rear gear exactly like it came from Europe. I have all the paper work from day 1 to present. I had to put all new me/be leather front and rear because it didn't have tinted windows and as everyone knows that drivers rear side, seat top always goes. I have EPA.and DOT. current papers excluding extra cats,air pump,evap.system, etc.and flies thru emission we/ only 110 miles on it, figured from kilometer speedo. has 5 CLK chrome wheels including spare.
