  Just thought I would let you guys know that the easiest and quickest way to remove the dash cluster on any W126 is with 2 locking suction caps. (available at most hardware stores as a Bathroom accessory) Place on the clear outer plastic at either end, lock them on and pull quickly........and wow you will say....how good is that! I changed my dial backings to white and the driving takes on a whole new meaning!

  I also find it very easy to repair window switches(and to switch over the worn knobs) and even the electic seat switches.....but be a little more carefull with the latter as lots of ball bearings!
