Bill, I'm not sure I understand - did you get NO response from Becker?

As Richard said, they are a great company and can rebuild your radio,  
should you decide to send it to them. You may just have a simple  
component failure preventing the FM to work. I'm sure they can  
diagnose and fix it.

You might want to look at my web site here to see if you can tell  
which radio you have. MB did not always change radio models exactly  
in sync with car model years. You may have a Model 612 or possibly a  
Model 754. If the later, you are in luck as it was a much better radio.
