[W126 Coupe] Re: OVP (over-voltage protection relay)

 I took out the OVP, the fuse was okay, but I cleaned it and the relay plugs. When I started the antilock light was off and the idle back to narmal. Many thanks as I wouldn't have guessed.
 
Exactly what does the OVR do,  that it would be responsible for  the problems I experienced, and what else might be affected by a flaky OVR relay.
