Hello David,
My thought on the duct to the door is it's there to help warm or cool the
window motor/window in an effort to help prevent fogging..perhaps the door
panel itself..I'm really not sure.
The self leveling suspension is not air related, but hydraulic. It came
standard on all 560's. There was an option for Full hydromat, ie hydraulic
suspension @ all 4 wheels but that's a rather maintenance intensive/costly
to repair option.
Behind the right rear wheel are your dual fuel pumps. The vacuum pump is in
the spare tire well (that piece of plastic/foam houses the pump).
The vacuum system also works the climate control flap actuators.
Where in SA are you? My g/f and I have a thing for Cape Town.
Jonathan
