[W126 Coupe] is my trans going bad?

Judging by what was done to the car, I'm thinking toasted tranny and damaged motor, but judging by the symptoms, I think there might still be hope. Take it either to an MB dealer or a independant shop that specializes in MB. Have then flush the tranny fluid, check the motor mounts, check the tranny mounts, check the differential mounts..basically just have then experience the problem and then find it. If the shop charges for an estimate like that, tell your "cousin" he's paying (I'm suspicious that there is a cousin because who in the world would own up to doing such idiotic things with a car that isn't theirs?).

only when i switch gears it makes noise but once i'm driving, i notice no difference. Also the car isnt smoking.  Are u saying its going to be gone soon?

You are looking at anywhere from $1500 to $3500 for another transmission, as well as possible damaged transmission and differential bushings, depending on how fast he was going when changing direction.  Engine mounts could be bad, I'd change the oil to be safe.  Watch the exhaust for smoke carefully as well, revving it with no load and everything...

	I'm19 and i have been driving my 560SEC for about a year as i got it from my dad for my High School graduation present. Right now i have without a doubt the best car in College :). Anyway im writing this because i have an issue with my Benz. Last week lent my car to my cousin to drive to school since i'm already out and had no work that day. Well when i got it back that night the car jerks when i move it to Drive.  >From Park to Drive it jerks a bit but from Nutural to Drive he makes alot of noise and jerks hard.  >From what i was told by his friend today was he was racing a 92 Honda Prelude with it(which i he said he won). He told me right before the race he was showing off by putting the car on Nutrual and flooring the gas peddle, so the car engin is rouring loudly and moving around because of the big engine. And he said that when he switches gears he wasnt holding on the break to change gears but was playing around and moving it to R to D to N over and over without stoping it.  I was told the engin even cut off when doing it.  Its been a month and it jerks like hell but when driving theres nothing wrong.  Is the the trans or something else?
