[W126 Coupe] something strange happened (500 SEC help)

      Hi C126 Genuises!,
    I am wondering if this has ever happened to any of you guys....
    Over the weekend , my ABS light was coming up  (back and forth),but my idle was fine so i figured it must be the sensors ( & not the OVP relay ), so i took em out, & cleaned them(fronts) with brake cleaner .after cleaning the sensors, when i turned the engine on, the ABS light came on again, so i stopped working on it cos i was out of ideas. Yesterday, when i turned the engine on, the light never came on, I even took it for a 6 mile drive and it never came on ( so i figured everything was fine,).
   this morning i decided to take it out on the freeway, and all this time the light never came on until when i was exitting the freewayand i hit my brakes , then the ABS light came on again ,my engine  shut down and my steering wheel got stuck (luckily i didnt have anyone behind me) but i was able to pullover on time.The car started right up  and the abs light came on for a few minutes, then went out.(there's also some funny sound when i hit the brakes and the car comes to a halt.....not a squeaky sound). 
    Has anyone had this problem before ? if you have please help. the funny thing is that last week i took it to the dealer and paid for a complete diagnostic test on the car ( cos it had been sitting all winter)and they told me that there was nothing wrong with the car and the brakes either . Honestly i always feel like i get more info on this car from this board than from the dealer . please help
