It is even more insane in most countries in Europe.

In England, an elderly farmer by the name of Tim Martin shot and killed one 
of two intruders in his house. He was charged with murder and sentenced to 
10 years in prison.

That is an extraordinary long sentence for a country that can't be bothered 
to prosecute and lock up REAL criminals.
