[W126 Coupe] New Tires are Coming !!!

I wonder how "reactive" those pieces are that connect
the rubber to the wheel?  Would those soften the
suspension by too much give?  I also wonder what the
life of those are and what happens if one snaps?  Do
you get a lopsided tire?  I also wonder how it changes
rotational mass?
