Think about the weight and mass reduction at the wheel and the increased
suspension responsiveness that would follow when the wheel becomes such an
active part of the suspension.
Think about what this would mean to racing if under inflation and blowouts
were not a factor. No doubt, there would be other kinds of failures but
those problems would be history.

That's pretty wild. It looks like we are returning to the 'solid'
rubber tire that was used when the automobile was first introduced.
Admittedly the tire pictured appears to be way advanced with vanes but,
nonetheless solid rubber.
