I was just in the garage looking closely at the whole assembly. I see that
there is a metal rail that the window sits in. Does that metal rail just
rest on top of the regulator?

I noticed that on the front and back of the window there is two square metal
blocks that press against the window. Are these just pressure plates?

I like the idea of using blocks of wood to support the window.

Thanks a million for all your help!
