[W126 Coupe] Headlights Beam Height Adjustment Switch - not working(560 Euro)

Hi Dawid:

I tested my 86 300se euro single fog lamp with bulb removed and the dash 
headlamp center orange lamp still lights up.  So, I'd say there is no 
fault indicator built into the circuit.  Anyway you can test for 12volts 
at either socket?  I wonder if the single element bulbs that you have 
are the correct type where you've never had them work since owning the 
car??  The 12 volts present with the switch on would confirm this as the 
problem or bring you back to a unique fuse somewhere in the circuit, 
wiring issues or the dash switch itself I guess.
