Hoping someone would say try a Freon recharge or topoff!
Engine temp is fine.

WIll go for the easy attempt.  It definitely needs to be done anyway.  
It gets cold but in Calif., I run it alot.

Thanks for the PDF.  I have the mauals CDs..   I apppreciate it guys.

Any other thoughts are still welcome.
