thats a drain hole. you have an oil leak somewhere else and its 
draining out of the hole. usually the valve cover gasket or head 
gasket. are you sure its coming through the hole or is it coming from 
above the hole? and how fast?

  Don't know if anyone can help. But on my 87 420sel, there looks like a 
"weep" hole on the drivers side of the engine. The location is toward 
the rear of the head about 2-4" down just in front on the bell housing. 
I can get my pinky finger in the hole. It does not appear to be 
threaded. This is where the oil is coming out from. It leaks with the 
car running and with the car off. I have attached a photo. Maybe 
someone can shed some light on what goes in there ???
