Hey Mike;

They go through Hummer's like no tomorrow.  He personally expended (3) 
this last tour.  In each instance it was not of his choosing.  I think 
something that keeps them out of the blast zone is what is needed.  
Perhaps 'Back to The Future' with a hover board or Hover Hummer would do 
the trick.
