Those CDs are really useful. as you know.. I believe you¹ll get them up and
running easily if you upgrade your Flash & Shockwave plug-ins for your web
browser and use the MB CD Index Tool, generously provided by fellow MBCoupes

RE: ³The 500 gearbox main plug has 5 wires at the shift lever connection.
The ¹87 box only has 4 wires on this plug ­ but has an additional plug about
six inches further forward with 2 pins on it (no comparable plug on the 500
box)  I assume this latter connection is for the sports / economy switch?
Is this the case? Can anyone help with info on what the 5th wire is on the
Œ500 box.²

Can you describe/show a picture of the wiring color codes/shapes of the
various plug connectors involved?
