[W126 Coupe] OIL VISCOSITY

NO MAN  if i were you i definitely would stick to what the owners  manual 
suggested  
 20w 50 oil is way too thick to pump in cooler /cold temps  this  is when 
wear starts and  it is of no use just because its thicker 
i have had  this very discussion with a very knowledgeable fella form  gm who 
said just what i am telling you  he also stated there are literally  whole 
library filled with info regarding oil/and lubrication at G.M.
