Positive its not coming from the pump. I had pressure on the system and
nothing from the weep hole or any traces of wetness visible anywhere around
the pump.

Are you positive it's not the water pump seal? A leaky water pump seal will
stop leaking when it's being driven and usually will stay stopped until it's
cooled down (So go out when it's cold and leaked, fill the overflow tank up
to put some pressure on it, if it starts leaking, start the car and see if
the leak stops pretty quickly, if it doesn't then it's the water pump since
the impeller is pushing the water up past the leak).. My water pump seal
leaked just from where you described. The hose you're talking about sounds
like to the heater core to me, but I'm just guessing based on the fact that
it goes behind the engine.
