[W126 Coupe] Transmission Adjustments?

Moving the modulator adjustment 'T' counterclockwise one detente per
road test at a time will result in a firmer shift. The flaring actual
creates greater wear on the tranny so a firm shift should result in
improved longevity.

If you are getting a solid shift but want to see a bit more pep at the
touch of the gas there is another adjustment that requires you loosen
the 10mm bolt on the vertical tranny linkage at the firewall then take
up the slack (play). This will result in a sportier ride and is only a
pain in stop n' go traffic where the car wants to leap forward rather
than gradually build speed per MB spec in the adjustments section of the
throttle linkage.

Regards,

Dick
