[W126 Coupe] Underside of MB hood clearcoat or not??

I am just finishing up the original burgundy red hood on 300SE parts car with a color change to match the white euro.  Question, would anyone know if the factory paint on the underside of the MB hood is just the primer plus basecoat or if it does in fact have a clearcoat as a final finish?
