[W126 Coupe] Update on Battery Drain

Hi Markus,

Apparently the factory alarm was disconnected when the Meta Alarm/immobilizer was installed. I spoke with the dealer I purchased the car from who told this and the relays for the factory alarm that are normally in the fuse box are not there. But as I mentioned, this problem hasn't always been there, it just took a very long time to know there was a problem at all because I used to drive it every day. When doing this, you wouldn't even notice there was a problem. I am thinking along the lines of the battery backup for the seatbelt tensioner system and airbags now. Does that make any sense?

Cheers,

Vance.

        Vance,

Maybe I missed it in your many posts, but what happened when you disconnected the factory alarm as suggested by several folks as a possible culprit?

        Markus
