It is a good point of concern. Stu Ritter is fairly set in his opinion
that aftermarket cams do not hold up, performance or otherwise. He has
installed a fair share of aftermarket cams, only to have them chew the
lobes off in a relatively short amount of time.
Now, I will admit that I do not know if he still has the same opinion with
the new(er) stuff being made. But still, getting sometime of guarentee
with the Crane cams needs to be in order.
Were you thinking of increasing the duration beyond what the AMG cams are,
or simply beyond what is the stock spec?
