[W126 Coupe] New Topic: battery

Didn't I read on this list that MB batteries are rebranded Interstate? If
memory is correct it was Satish with that bit of knowledge.

I was satisfied with the last MB battery. It was in the car when I bought
it 6 years ago. I live in a mild climate (near San Francisco), so batteries
usually die from internal leakage rather than lack of capacity. The last
one would go dead in a couple of days after a full charge. The recent
thread about intermittent loads from the car had me going - but in my case
it turned out to be just a bad battery.

My nearest dealer (Autobahn Motors) gives me the "vintage car discount" of
10% on parts. This makes the battery a real deal, especially if it is an
Interstate underneath the MB logo. Plus, as I wrote before, it fits, it was
in stock, and the service is great.

Regards,

Jim Ham
