Some people say that, but the MB batts in my car have lasted (starting
with the one that came with it)

8 years
5 years
3 years and counting.
Seems pretty good to me.

I went to an MBCA event last year to hear tech guru George Murphy talk
about our cars and maintenance issues.
IIRC, he said that the MB batteries are crap and to buy either Optima or
Interstate (which makes sense because Interstate owns Optima...).

Unfortunately the no-load voltage is not a good indicator of a battery's
condition. The shops use a tester that draws several amps.
