Hi Carl:
I now understand the problem better. I thought this would be easier
than it looks. In any event, you want to email Chaz in the UK. He has
helped me out in the past and would be a good source for the parts you
need. His email: chaz at noahs5a.freeserve.co.uk
If that email does not work (it's been a while since I posted him)
Contact Talbir and ask him for a hand. He knows Chaz and can connect
the dots for you. Her Majesty's Mail to the states is about 2-3 weeks
unless you choose UPS or some other private carrier. Chaz has access to
all the salvage parts for euro MB's. Talbir's email is:
sharanbains at hotmail.com
In any event it looks like a very simple circuit with one column of
three using the center post as either the hot or ground and the other
column of three has the high side as maybe the street horn circuit and
the low side as the city horn circuit plus it looks like you have the
fiber lighting hole to backlight the switch.
Let me know how this goes. I was thinking that one of the switch backs
off of my parts car could easily be fitted with proper placement of the
pins and the fiber but your remarks suggest this will not work. I'll
dig further and send you a switch back if you'd like to give it a try.
