[W126 Coupe] Permanently Attaching Replacement Wood to Dash

In the old days, cobblers (Remember them?) used rubber cement to stick the
soles of shoes on to the shoes. It was permanent, and waterproof.

We used it in the publishing business, too.

If you put rubber cement on both of the materials, let the cement dry
completely, then place them together and roll them to press both parts
firmly, they are almost as one piece. If they need to be removed at some
later time, just use rubber cement thinner to dissolve the cement.
