[W126 Coupe] SLK staggered rims on my 1987 SEC

You should be OK with that set up.

The front wheels 225/55x16 will give you an overall wheel diameter of 65.4
cm which is 1.0% larger than the standard wheel (205/65x15 = 64.8 cm).
The rear wheels at 245/50x16 results in a 65.1 cm wheel, 0.6% larger than
standard.

Both are well within the acceptable range (less than 4% difference from OEM
set up).

I don't know about any problem on the rear axle that would prevent you from
using a 10 mm spacer, but in any case you'd be better off with the 15 mm
spacers.
The standard offset with a 7" rim is 25 (ET), so the closer you get to that
number the better the fit.

Using a 7" rim you might even be able to fit the ET 37 rims without spacers,
but they will sit very deep in the weel well and look kind of weird.
