[W126 Coupe] Rear hat tray

No, I checked mine again. The standard space is onle suitable for a 4" or 4x6
Ilike to change the tray to a later version with more speaker space. I just want to find out what year I have to look for that has that option and fit my 1984.

  I've been wrong before, but I believe all Series 2 cars ('86 and later) have the 16 cm (~6.3") speakers in the rear, and the post-'89 cars will definitely have them.

    I have a 1984 300 sd. The rear hat tray has a speaker space for 4x6 speakers. I like to change this. What hat tray from what year sel mb will fit my diesel and has a 6.5 speaker space?
