[W126 Coupe] Ticking in motor in cold weather when car is sitting afew days in 560 SEC

. When I started it up it was making a ticking in the motor..
Could be a bad hydraulic compensating element. The thing the rocket arm
pivots on. It sort of works like a hydraulic lifter.
. The guides looked good then so they were left..
If the upper guides have 160k on them, they are probably brittle and could
break. This hunk of plastic gets sucked in between the sprocket and chain,
a main cause of timing chain jump and valve crash.. The parts are cheap
and a bit more work, but good insurance against engine replacement..
