[W126 Coupe] Popcorn in Dash - Climate Control

My wife's 1986 560 SEC still has an unusual situation with the Climate
Control. When the car has been closed and parked in the sun for a while (30
minutes) the blower won't come on. After a few minutes with the windows
down, the blower will activate. Whenever the car is in our garage with the
windows down the Climate Control blower will function normally.

There is a new compressor and dryer. I have gotten under the dash and found
that things seem to be OK with the blower. I replaced the fuse that Mike
Ramay wrote about. As long as the Climate Control is functioning, the blower
works just fine. It is only when parked with the windows closed that the
blower won't blow.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I should do? I don't want to buy a new
blower and still have the same problem. Maybe I can take the blower from my
1991 560 SEC and put it in her car-I think I'll do that this weekend.
