[W126 Coupe] 1985 euro version 500sec

Help
I have a 1985 500 SEC Its giving me problems and am not driving now.
It has an idling problem,somestimes the idle would go to to 1900 RPM after  a 
while it would return to normal, I could still drive like this.
Now while I am driving the motor stops running,can restart but after  
stopping on me a couple of times it was hard to start. Afraid it will not start 
Its a beautifull car but thinging about saleing
