Hi Jack.

Glad to hear you got it worked out.  I've only seen the one rectangular 
vacuum element (cigarette pack shape) and it was mounted to the face of 
the heater box and controlled the leg flap doors on an 86 Euro 300SE 
1986.  It's the sedan I am driving in bad weather while the SEC is 
garaged.  All of the others have employed the barrel shaped element on 
the heater box.
