I've lowered seven SECs and an SEL, including my '87 560SEC, and all were
able to have the front end adjusted back to MB specifications. I'd find
another alignment shop. As a last resort, take it to the local MB dealer as
they will know how to do it.
Later,

Subject: [W126 Coupe] SUSPENSION QUESTION
I have a 1987 560 SEC and I installed performance springs which lowers the
ride height approximately 1 1/2 inches. The inside of my front tires are
wearing very quickly. I have tried to get the car aligned but the alignment
shops say because the car is lowered, they cannot get the car in alignment.
Does anyone know of a remedy for this other than re-installing my stock
springs?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kenny
