[W126 Coupe] Air conditioning Issues

I would appreciate some help on my Air Conditioning.  I evacuated the system
and installed an alternative to Freon, but the system still is not cooling.
Initially I got some cooling, but system does not work like it is supposed
to.  Any suggestions?

A mechanic I spoke with mentioned that the system orifice tube is probably
clogged except I read in the archives that the MB system does not have one.
I read  a post from Satish, Sat Apr 17 1999 - 23:41:34 EDT, that suggested
procedures that I do not really feel qualified to make since I do not know
where some of the parts are located.  Does anyone have the written
procedures he referred to that would appear in the Star?  Are there pictures
attached?  If so, I would like to obtain a copy.  

Any other help would be appreciated.  Good news is that I evacuated the
system and there does not seem to be a leak.  Recharge of system simply does
not improve system. 

I am working on my 83 SEC, but the 86 has similar issues, only not as bad
even though the systems does have leaks that I need to repair.  I really
would like to do this right.
