[W126 Coupe] transmission clunk ! Help !

Hi guys,
  My car experiences clunks when shifting esp when moving from a stand still. looks like coming from the rear end. it is also quite loose because when I shift into P it will roll for 1 sec before engaging. When i shift from N to D, the whole rear will drop and when shifting from D to N it will move upwards and moving to R will result in the rear end moving eve more upwards.  The rpm is fine (500-550) . 
   
  Any ideas about what could be going on? I took it in for spring servicing last week and the mechanics told me that there was nothing wrong with the transmission (even though i told them about it). As always , i appreciate your comments
