[W126 Coupe] wheels

Hello,

I have an 83 500sec with Lorinser rs-90's 16" offset of 22.

I am thinking about Lorinser d-93 17" and am told I need to use spacers.   What is the low-down on spacers?  Should I go with these or stay away from them?
