Well, assuming you are doing 80 MPH you are traveling at a rate of 117 fps.
Based on your 200 foot window to react that leaves you with just 1.7~
seconds to get your speed down to what 75?, 70?, 65??? while driving a 4000+
lbs Mercedes Benz.   I'd say the whole idea is a futile effort to try and
fix what you simply can not fix.  If you speed as most all of us do and you
are in the wrong place at the wrong time you get a ticket.  I'll grant you
that young drivers are more prone to receiving a ticket than a reprimand or
warning.
