Hi Richard:

No.  That is the same ashtray I once had.  I ripped the handle (it's just
glued in place) off of the fascia and peeled away the chrome trim edging.
And as you can see from the photo I just sent you off-line it's a separate
piece under the handle.

Nice website, great photos by the way.  I have to put some of my shots up on
the web again when I find the time.  It would help if I were a better
photographer too.  Nice shots!
