I would agree regarding the SLC thing especially since we all seem to have SEC's and yes I agree regarding the ride which why I question the 18 in wheel and tires. Not only does it slow the car, but burns more fuel also. That's why I have 16's on one car and 17's on the other and have tried to stay inside 9" wide rubber.
Please don't forget, these cars have a top end above 140 - granted a far cry from a Lambo or Tesstarosa or something like that.
It is nothing to cruise all day above 100 save the highway patrol. It's not the speed issue, it's the cost and technology loss issue that is at issue.
Why else would we have people putting superchargers on cars or swapping M117's for M119's if it wasn't for improved technology.
That was why I put the 91 560 motor in my 84. I saved weight over the "real" 560 , improved performance drastically and am actually getting better fuel econopmy than the 500 motor.
Just food for thought.
