[W126 Coupe] Changing the color of MB hood question

I have a hood with perfect paint but, wrong color for the MB sedan I need to replace.  Hood color is burgundy, new color on the damaged car is white.

Question:

what steps do I need to take to prep the burgundy before painting white???
