[W126 Coupe] Can someone help me with a vin number

Maybe because it weighed about 500 lbs less, but had the same hp as w126
500?

Does the 450SLC 5.0 share a suspension with the 450SLC? I once had a wild
ride in the passenger seat of one, seemed to handle amazingly.

Having driven SL/SLC's of various types I have to disagree on the  450's
handling better.  107 suspension is essentially a 1960's design.. the 450
doesn't even have the benefit of the 560 SL aluminum control arms.
Perhaps a 560SL w/ the hard top installed, lowered w/ some 17  or 18 X 8/9"
would help, but I still don't think it will work as well as the 126 coupe..
