Hi Richard:

The original MB color on my Euro 300SE is white with light grey urethane
panels and bumpers. I think too dark a color would be unkind to the eyes.

Good luck on the repaint. I hope you get a perfect job when all is said and
done. I would pull all of the trim off of the car before doing the repaint
and I would (body shop will disagree here) remove the urethane panels and
bumpers and paint them on a bench as well, This way you get full coverage
on all painted surfaces and you will see no lines or blemishes when you go
to work on the car in the future. I did this exact treatment and the paint
shop required some cash incenting for the bench work plus my offer to do all
of the r&r so I got what I wanted.

You may not have the time or inclination to go to this extreme and there are
many beautiful paint jobs on these cars where no one is the wiser.

Take care,

Dick
