 My wife and I are both big car enthusiasts.  Although we didn't bring our
380SEC, we attended EuroAutoFestival for 05 this year at the BMW plant in
Spartanburg, SC with our unrestored '72 280SE 4.5.  Well, after checking out
the 463 European automobiles at the show, we headed back to our
car...exhausted.  My wife was anxious to go back to the hotel until she
found the 2nd place ribbon in our windshield.  Rejuvenated...we were both
excited and bubbling over winning 2nd in Mercedes-Benz sedan class.  

That night we went to the banquet dinner, (a black tie affair) and after
dinner they proceeded to announce the corporate awards.  Michelin and BASF
did their award, I believe to the best restored Porsche, (the restorer sat
at our dinner table), Zymol gave theirs to the couple who won 2nd place
Maserati, (also sitting at out table), and the BMW exec, (whom was the
Master of Cerremonies), proceeded to explain the BMW corporate award.  He
explained that he is normally looking for the correct valve stems, with the
correct valves, on the corrct wheels, talked about how paint may often over
power interriors, or shabby engine compartments as compared to the rest of
the vehicle. That this award, is for the car that had it all correct!  The
entire car had to be balanced and that it kills him to give it to a
competitor, but the '72 280SE 4.5 owned by Bruce & Tiet Gorsak fit the
requirements......We were extatic!  Considering the competition, I sti ll
can't believe we won that award.  On the way up to the hospitality room, he
told me as far as he was concerned, we had the best car in the field.  I
still can't believe it!

Definitely not for the w126 models as they use an offset (ET) of 25 for the

standard rims.

I'm not sure about the w124, but I thought the standard for those was an

offset of 30, but that is based on the fact that the 3-piece AMG rims for

the E500 has offset of 30. Might be higher for the standard rim.

They can't help but greatly reduce brake cooling. Instead get yourself

some PBR of Axxis (same company, two names) Metal Masters or Ultimates
