[W126 Coupe] High Idle with ASR light on

 OVP - Over Voltage Protection relay.  Its a little box that plugs in, usually with a red top that has the fuse in it, maybe 3 inches by 1.5-2 inches in size. Make sure your alternator is charging properly first.  I bought on OVP a while back thinking that was the problem (high idle, lights coming on like ABS, etc) and it did nothing.  Turned out to be a bad alternator.  Usually the dealer won't take back electrical parts either, so now I have a "spare" OVP. There are ways to take it apart and resoder the chipboard and yes it may only be the fuse I've gone both routes in Canada the relay is $139.00 still the best bet, just pull into a dealership I'm sure they can pull and plug for a test and/or pull and plug one from a friend that has the same one.
