[W126 Coupe] speakers

Ah, so simple...that's the thing I find most allusive about cars though:
where do they stick all the wiring. So, how would I go about running all
new wiring? I mean, where do the wires go and how do I put new wires
there? I suppose this would all be so much clearer to me when I actually
have the new head unit in my possession and when I have the old head
unit and look at the wiring.

Also, you said " The adapter Really isn't necessary, you can do a very,
very clean install w/o any adapter of any sorts, one that can be readily
converted back should someone lose their mind;-)"

How would one go about converting it back? As I see it, without using an
adapter, I would have to cut off the connectors on the wires. Also, what
should I look for in wire? Can I get good stuff locally or do I have to
hit the internet?
Richard

Run all new wiring to every speaker, forget the fader.
