[W126 Coupe] Totaled 90 SEC

Mike,

My rear end was also damaged although that was done by the insurance
company's statement of 100% at fault! (Big old kick in the ass and rates I'm
sure) I'm already looking for a 1991 560SEC to replace this one. However,
next time I take the 4 wheel drive and take no more chances driving in the
snow.

FYI, I talked to Mark and he is just fine after the accident. He was by
himself in the vehicle.

I believe the "severely damaged rear end" description belongs to the car.

Hey All,

I ended up in a snowstorm on Wednesday and lost control of the SEC. I just
got a settlement figure from the insurance company and the salvage value of
the car is $2400 if I keep it. I've got a severely damaged rear end but the
car is still driveable. The front end is good, engine, tranny and glass are
all intact. What should I do? Keep it and part it or take the salvage
amount? Who need parts? The engine has 146800 on it and except for a small
rough idle just passed smog with flying colors! Interior is good. Climate,
cruise control etc all works.
