[W126 Coupe] trunk mounted CD

Ok, lets say someone weren't an audiophile, but just wanted to do things
right. Head unit, speakers, wire between the speakers and head unit, and
that's all right? Or to see any gain would you also have to replace the
amp(s)? I suppose there is a stereo system diagram in the service
manuals somewhere? Also, with wiring, how would you go about replacing
that? Tie the new wiring with a string to the old and then pull on the
old wiring to bring the new wiring through? That nakamichi cd 400 is the
most subdued in-dash cd player I can find, but at $280 I don't know how
good it can be (a terrible way to shop I know, but I just never got into
stereos, I mean, at home there is a nice set up, but since it's a set
up, it was easy to find one that sounds good without knowing the specs).
Imagine, this all started with me just wanting to add cd functionality
to the existing becker...
Richard

I fully agree with your opinion.
Do not try to improve the sound by replacing the speakers alone. If you
want
to improve the system, do it right.
