[W126 Coupe] trunk mounted CD

I actually quite like the sound in my SE, just needs a bit more mid
range. I was never big on car stereos since cars aren't exactly
acoustically well designed. I suppose this is a good thing since I can
only begin to imagine how all that wiring must be snaked around inside
the dashboard. Speaking of which, is it true that to replace the heater
core in a W126 you have to take out the dashboard?

Richard,

The standard speakers in the SEC are as bad as the wiring system.
When upgrading the speakers you also should upgrade the electrical
wiring,
like wire with gold plated plugs. Monster cables is a good start.

Hey, that actually looks pretty ok. I guess I don't know much about
audio. Reading the description it says all these things about how good
the sound is. I thought the speakers make the sound. Would it really
improve sound? Also, would any electrical modifications have to be made
or would the original wiring work?
Thanks,
Richard
